Join Tracy Spurway as she presents Introduction to: Preparing Your Spring Garden Beds
We’re getting anxious to get out there! What’s the first thing we should do for our garden beds this spring? To dig or not to dig? That is the question. How much compost and manure should we use and how should we mix it in? What about old plants still hanging around? What do we do with those? These are a few of the things I think we’re all interested in and I’m looking forward to coming to chat with you about them.
So join us Monday, April 1st in the lower level at the United Baptist Church on Malabar (just off Great Northern Road or off Willow Avenue).
Doors open at 6:30 pm for catching up with old friends or making new ones! Light refreshments (donation appreciated) will also be available.
Catch up on what we’re doing as a Society “out and about” our community and enjoy Tracy’s presentation.
See you then!
Join us March 4th at our General mtg for our Carousel of Dirt!
Paul Hazlett, Great Lakes Forestry Centre – soil texture and drainage
Rita West, SSM Horticultural Society – no till soil handling
Susan Milne, Algoma Master Gardeners – soil amendments and community garden beds
You won’t want to miss this!
