Arts & Crafts on Wheels will be at the SSM Horticultural Society’s Annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 25 from 9 a.m. to noon to give kids the opportunity to learn about the new Garden Club! Through a partnership with the Horticultural Society, they will also be able to get their hands dirty…potting a plant to take home with them!
According to Garden Club facilitator Halina Peltonen, this activity is designed to demonstrate what the Garden Club for youth is all about: a fun horticultural learning program that allows seniors to share their experiences with our precious youth.
The Garden Club is made possible with the support of the Arts Council of Sault Ste. Marie & District and the sponsorship of New Horizons for Seniors and Youth.
When you get to the Plant Sale, look for the Christie Camper trailer that will be set up on the west side of the United Baptist Church on Malabar Dr.
Bring your kids, and bring some friends to share in the fun and love for gardening!
