Christmas is only 55 days away….Why not plan ahead for your festive holiday table?
To learn how to make a beautiful holiday centrepiece, come to the SSM Horticulture Society November meeting, to be held on Monday, November 4.
Doors open at 7 p.m. for socializing; meeting begins at 7:30. The evening’s speaker will be Dan Gagnon, owner/designer of Flowers For You. This meeting is open to the public. Hort Society members, please note that we will also be electing officers and accepting final submissions for the photo competition.
Dan is planning to put together a seasonable centrepiece during his presentation and will bring one of his outdoor pieces to show us. Dan will also bring visuals of available styles, vases and prices, business cards and gift cards. He is happy to work with you and create a design using your own special vase or container.
The evening will also include a draw, the winner of which can choose either Dan’s newly created centrepiece or a gift card, generously donated by him.
More about Dan Gagnon…
Dan was born and raised in the Sault and has worked around plants and flowers for more than 30 years. He gained experience helping his aunt and later his mother, who owned Country Potpourri. He has been in his own business at Flowers For You for two years. Dan also does fruit, gift and muffin baskets. In his shop you will also find lovely gifts, greeting cards and antiques for sale. Dan is willing to take orders at Monday night’s meeting so plan ahead!
