The Sault Ste. Marie Horticultural Society 2015-16 Photography Competition has the same classes and follows the same rules as the 2016 OHA Photo Competition, with the following exceptions—please read both sets of information carefully!
Deadline: Entries to the local competition must be submitted to Jim Tibbles on or before November 2, 2015 or at the Hort Society General Meeting held at the United Baptist Church, 41 Malabar Drive, on that date. Entries will be judged and displayed with ribbons at the Christmas Party, December 7, 2015.
Who can enter: All Sault Ste. Marie Horticultural Society members in good standing may enter.
Three extra classes for our local competition (do not submit these to OHA Photo Competition; see OHA sheet for details of classes 1-11, which are part of both competitions):
12. A Garden Scene at City Hall in Sault Ste. Marie
13. Reflections in the Windows of City Hall in Sault Ste. Marie
14. A Sunrise or Sunset in Sault Ste. Marie Area—include a landmark to identify the area, e,g., Roberta Bondar tent, City Hall
Special instructions for mounting photos for our local competition: You may use white, off-white, or black mounting/cardboard/matte board only. Please note that in 2014, OHA changed their rules to require photos to be mounted not matted (see OHA sheet for details).
